2013 THEME –
Celebrating Our Schools
Secondary Theme - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
The Yankee Doodle Homecoming Committee is pleased to
announce that THE 23rd ANNUAL YANKEE
DOODLE HOMECOMING will be held on the second
weekend after Labor Day, September 13–15, 2013.
This year’s theme is:
CELEBRATING OUR SCHOOLS.
As always, the Billerica Colonial Minute Men will
hold a weekend encampment with demonstrations,
tarring and feathering and their infamous battle
with the British. Saturday’s activities will include
the parade, marketplace vendors, crafters, field
games, nonprofit groups, music, and the annual
fireworks at the Marshall Middle School.
Sunday will include the annual 4Paws in Action
event, crafters and marketplace vendors, as well as
other events around town for public enjoyment and
participation. All Sunday events will begin at 11am
and end by 3pm.
Based on last year’s event, our anticipated costs
for 2013 will be $45,000, which includes in kind
services from local organizations, and businesses
that help to defray some of the cost incurred to
bring a quality weekend to the community.
Volunteers are also needed for various
sub-committees and weekend activities.
These volunteers come from the community as
well as many business supporters.
A minimum commitment of two-hour segments is
asked for all volunteers during the weekend
activities. If you are interested in becoming a
Yankee Doodle Volunteer, please contact Taryn Gillis
at (978) 502-7684 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please take a look at the sponsor levels below and
donate as much as you can to insure that Yankee
Doodle Homecoming will proudly continue in 2013.
